Ford Collier is a Radio 2 Folk Award Nominated multi-instrumentalist, specialising in British Isles folk and rhythm-led traditional fusion. He plays low whistle, guitar, and percussion, and draws on a wealth of traditional Irish tunes, his years of experience as an accompanist, and the rhythmic language of India/the middle east to broaden his roots in UK folk.
Ford regularly tours the UK with Indian folk crossover band Mishra, and is a veteran of festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections and more. He can often be found performing for social folk dances as a ceilidh musician and caller, and as a DJ playing trad Irish tunes over pop songs.
Ford is available for session work and makes high quality recordings from a home studio setup.
